Laser Hair Removal Pre & Aftercare
Before Your Treatment
- Shave the treatment area 48 hours before your appointment for optimal laser precision.
- Avoid waxing, plucking, or threading for at least 4 weeks prior to allow follicles to remain intact.
- Do not use Depilatory creams 1 week prior to treatment.
- Ensure skin is completely free from fake tan, bronzers, or recent heavy sun exposure. Strictly avoid sunbeds and direct sun exposure for at least 4 weeks post-session.
- Do not apply lotions, perfumed oils, or deodorants to the area on the day of treatment & 48 hours prior to treatment.
- If you have been on antibiotics, we ask that you leave 2 weeks between finishing the course and having treatment.
After Your Treatment
- Refrain from hot baths, steam rooms, jacuzzi, hot tubs, massage treatments, athletics activities and perfumed products for 48 hours.
- Soothe treated skin with a cool pack or pure aloe vera gel to reduce any temporary warmth or redness.
- Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ to any treated areas that may be exposed to sunlight.
- Strictly avoid sunbeds and direct sun exposure for at least 4 days after treatment.
- We advise not using any skincare that contains AHA, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid or Retinoic Acid for 3-5 days following treatment.
- If you experience itching in treated area, avoid scratching the area, you can take an antihistamine e.g. Piriton to alleviate the irritation.
- Always maintain a good skincare routine with frequent hydration or moisturisation on daily basis.
